There's alot more to that little four-letter word than meets the eye... warmth, love, comfort, family... but there's only one thing I need to know about it... Seth is there... home. This was Seth's first welcome-home hug from Katie, but there have been, and will be, many more...... :)

Counting the minutes

The day has finally arrived.....we're about to leave for the airport to pick Seth up. He arrives at 0930. Yep, we'll be hugging that boy soon. I bet you can see the smile on my face..... :) Katie's doing some last minute primping to look her best for her honey, like she really needs to...teehee...and we're watching the clock. AND WATCHING!! AND WATCHING!!! Just how slow can that clock move???

A weak moment

I was talking to Seth on the IM today and happened to mention that he would be home in a week. I said......”Wow, that sounds good, doesn’t it?” He agreed, of course, but after I said that, I started to tear up. I don’t know what happened. It was totally unexpected and happened at work, of all places. It’s kind of hard to explain to the mailman or the UPS guy why I have tears in my eyes. It's not the first time it's happened, though...and I'm sure it won’t be the last. But, you know what? I don’t care. We’re only a few months into this deployment, and it’s just going to happen sometimes, that's all there is to it. I try to be strong, but I have weak moments......but that's okay.

I miss this face!!!

This is a picture of the last time I planted a kiss on that face.... the night he deployed. I miss this face!!! But guess what?? I'll get to plant another kiss on that face in a few weeks. That's right.... R&R.... two whole weeks of leave. Am I excited??? Duh!!! I'm counting the days. We all are. As a matter of fact, Katie has numbers counting down to the day he arrives on her door. Every morning she tears off another number. So, yeah, we're just a wee bit excited.... I can't hardly wait...... :)
