Just working and waiting...

It has been a long, busy month since I last posted here. Katie is less than 2 weeks from the hopeful domino now and Seth is a month closer to coming home for R&R. Those are the most important things that have taken place during the month...as you can imagine, I'm counting the days. I spent last weekend with Katie, helping her clean up and rearrange her basement. We had a very nice visit and even got to talk to Seth on the IM. Her grandparents came in to stay nearby her this last month...and it really makes me feel better to know that they are only a few minutes away from her. I know she has some good friends there, but...it just makes me feel better knowing she has some family nearby. I'm only 2 1/2 hours away, but it can be an extremely long drive when you're in a hurry...and I will be..... :) The people at the visitors center gave me an extended 1-month pass so I can get on base without having to wait in the temporary pass line when I explained that the father-to-be was deployed...thank you, thank you, thank you. I have waited for 45 minutes before to get a pass, as some of you out there may know from experience.

Another milestone during the past month is that the boys' old room looks like a guest room...it actually looks better than my bedroom..... :) I still need to paint the doors and part of the windows, but it looks great. I should take a picture and post it...well, maybe later. And my office is coming right along, too. I will finish up painting the doors and window and begin moving in furniture this week...thank goodness for grown sons when it comes to moving furniture...I would be lost without them...and they know it..... :)

Well, that's all the time I have right now...and hopefully, the next post will be exclaiming the birth of my first grandson...I'll keep you posted..... :)
